They might be better known for their stunning good looks, but supermodels across the globe are proving that they're more than just pretty faces - they can thrive in the business world too.
From clothing lines and cosmetics to fitness videos and home furnishings, these women have seen the opportunity to make cash off the catwalk and haven't been afraid to grasp it.
Here we take a look at some of these models both past and present, who have shown that beauty can also mean brains.

Miranda Kerr
Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr branched out into the world of natural skincare with the launch of her Kora Organics range in 2009, and the brand has since gone from strength to strength.

The 32-year-old beauty worked with an organic chemist in Australia to develop the products, which include a facial cleanser, moisturizer and hand cream, and utilize Key ingredients such as Noni, Rosehip Oil and Green Tea.

After initially launching in Australia, the brand has gone on to be stocked in several countries around the world, including the US and Japan.
For a time, Kerr's mother Therese worked with the brand but she stepped down from her role as general manager and chief executive in 2013.
Kerr, who has a four-year-old son Flynn with ex-husband Orlando Bloom, is also a published self-help author, having penned two 'positive thinking' books, and this year she launched a range for Royal Albert, which includes silverware, glassware and gifts. 
Heidi Klum
Mother-of-four Heidi Klum has made no secret of her business ambitions, with clothing collections, a lingerie line, multiple fragrances, jewelry and a production company to her name.
The 41 year-old's children's clothing line Truly Scrumptious is sold at Babies "R" Us, she ran a women's apparel line with New Balance.

Klum has also turned her hand to television and is co-creator, host, and executive producer of US reality show Project Runway, which sees aspiring fashion designers compete to win $100,000 to launch their own business.

In 2014, the German-born beauty began working with Australian lingerie company Bendon to launch Heidi Klum Intimates, after fellow supermodel Elle Macpherson ended her relationship with the brand.
The same year, in an interview with  Klum told the magazine that the transition from supermodel to businesswoman had always been a smooth one for her.
'I always had a passion for design and saw myself working in more of a business capacity,' she said.

'It was always my goal to have my hand in a lot of different projects.
'It is really amazing because at this point in my career, I have gotten a chance to work in a variety of fields.' 
Gisele Bundchen
Brazilian beauty Gisele Bundchen, 34, has put her name to an array of business ventures, including the successful lingerie line Gisele Bundchen Intimates.
According to , the company - a joint-venture with Brazil's answer to Victoria's Secret HOPE - is one of the fastest-growing lingerie brands in Brazil and has announced plans to open stores in London, New York, and Los Angeles.

The mother-of-two, who announced her retirement from the runway earlier this year, has also raked in revenue from her natural skincare range Sejaa, as well as Ipanema Gisele Bundchen flip-flops, which she launched in 2002.
And she hasn't done too badly from it all.

 Forbes estimated that Budchen, who married New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in 2009, earned a staggering $47 million in 2014 alone, making her the world's highest-paid model for the eighth year in a row.
Tyra Banks
Over the course of an impressive career as a supermodel, actress, television host and executive producer Tyra Banks has built up an impressive business empire - and she shows no signs of slowing down.
Her Bankable Enterprises portfolio includes Bankable Productions, an independent Los Angeles-based TV and film company that includes America's top model, The Tyra Banks Show, Stylista and The Clique among its projects.

She also runs The Tyra Banks Company, which is centered on the TYRA beauty brand, but has ventures as far ranging as media production, marketing, business development, digital media, social media, public relations and Tinel Pigments philanthropy.
The business-savvy Banks, who has also written a book Modelland, graduated from Harvard's Executive Education Training Program in February 2012.
Her business interests even extend to venture capitalism and she is CEO of Fierce Capital LLC, which aims to identify, develop and invest in early-stage start-up companies with a particular interest in female-led or female-focused firms.
Karlie Kloss
Aged just 22, Chicago-born supermodel Karlie Kloss hasn't quite had the time to build up an empire, but the business-savvy beauty has already launched a philanthropic cookie product.
Proceeds from sales of Karlie's Kookies go towards providing meals for children at schools in New York City and around the world through FEED projects.

And it looks like this is just the start of Kloss's ventures into the world of business. 
Last year, the statuesque beauty revealed on Instagram that she is taking part in a program at Harvard Business School, inspired fellow supermodel Tyra Banks who also studied at the Boston-based institution. 
Previously, Kloss told that Harvard was part of her plan for the future as she would like to focus on business so she can learn how to 'run a successful company'.
She said: 'I feel fortunate to have an incredible career and experiences behind me but there is so much more that I want to do with this career and with my life.
'Now that I am getting more and more involved in these entrepreneurial projects I think business is something that would also be fascinating.'
Cindy Crawford
At the age of 49, timeless beauty Cindy Crawford still turns her hand to modeling, but the mother-of-two has increasingly been focusing her energies on her various business ventures.
